The Pakistan Society for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled was established in 1957 as a Physical Therapy Centre primarily to cater to the needs of children stricken

by polio which in those days was widespread and very common and others with Musculoskeletal Health Problems. Over the years it has developed into a Centre of excellence which provides complete rehabilitation services under one roof at affordable rates.

After providing quality services to all and sundry since 1957, PSRD after much thought and deliberation has taken a bold step to venture into the field of Physical Rehabilitation Education and established a College of Rehabilitation Sciences (PCRS) duly affiliated with University of Health Sciences (UHS) which in itself is a matter of pride and satisfaction.

Rehabilitation Sciences are a bright new and exciting field specially suited to individuals who want to work as a team to develop creative and innovative solutions to their patient’s problems. This requires those working in Physical Rehabilitation to have expertise in a wide range of treatments in order to provide lifelong care to the patients including informative support and advice to the patients and their families.

  • Always seek the Almighty’s assistance for without it you cannot succeed and with it you cannot fail.
  • I pray that all those who opt for this profession have long, successful and distinguished careers. May God be with you.
